Theory and Analysis of the Loop Antenna and Ω-Shaped Loop-Dipole Antenna

This paper first examines and corrects Storer’s theory of circular loop antennas, then investigates theoretically the proposed Ω-shaped loop-dipole antenna. Special emphasis is given to analysis effect higher-order terms Fourier series as a remainder on current distribution, input impedance, radiation patterns thin-wire It found that must be included in calculation distribution impedance but can neglected simplify far-field radiation. Then, theoretical model analyze fields, directivity, antenna based dipole antennas’ theories. Analytical expressions for are derived. The numerical results compared antennas practical interests.
